- Deep experience in audit and/or assurance engagements and the testing of internal controls
- Interpersonal skills to relate to audit practitioners across all levels of the firm, to conduct one-on-one and group interviews
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to senior members of the team and the firm
- An ability to be agile in the management of priorities and timeframes
- A talent in synthesising complex issues and escalating (when required) to senior team members
- An interest in developing highly transferable skills and strong network across the firm

The Monitoring and Remediation team is an important element of Deloitte’s effort to continually drive improvement the quality of the work we do.
The team is responsible for:
- Driving proactive and continuous improvement of audit quality by identifying and understanding the root cause of negative quality events as well as positive quality outcomes
- Communicating relevant, reliable, and timely monitoring information about the root causes to inform stakeholders who design responsive actions and make key decisions
- Help enable the firm to take appropriate actions to respond to identified deficiencies such that deficiencies are remediated on a timely basis.
We are keen to speak with Senior Analyst and Manager level candidates who are passionate about improving audit quality and curious to understanding the factors that contribute to our success.
We are interested in candidates with experience in audit or other assurance and have a thorough knowledge about the application of the DPM and AMM and the practicalities that teams face in applying these and other guidance tools and resources.
What will your typical day look like?
- Working in a small team, closely with the RCA leader, to coordinate and supervise the completion of RCA activities and regularly report to our various stakeholders
- Observe moderation panel discussions, conduct interviews across all levels of engagement teams, including focus groups where applicable, analyse audit file documentation and other data to conduct investigations into factors that contribute to practice review findings and results, external inspections, and restatement of financial reports
- Regularly using excel data interrogations skills and accessing Deloitte systems to obtain other relevant data for analysis requiring a high level of attention to detail
- Ongoing regular stakeholder relationship management with various senior leadership positions, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills
- Development of a deep understanding of the RCA taxonomy and interviewing techniques
