About the team
The Deloitte Global Trade Advisory (GTA) practice is a national practice within Deloitte Tax & Legal’s Indirect Tax practice. GTA focuses on improving the transactional and trading environment of businesses. As part of our GTA team, you’ll provide consulting advice and compliance expertise to clients across a wide range of global trade matters, including import and export compliance and strategy.
The GTA team is expanding rapidly and we have a need for resources to join our team to meet the demands of our clients.
What will your typical day look like?
As a Global Trade Analyst, you will work with Australian and multinational companies and have the rare opportunity to learn from global leaders in this field to develop your knowledge and expertise in Global Trade. You will be advising Australian and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies and compliance and supporting and learning from our Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners as part of a dynamic and growing team.
This role does not require experience in Global Trade/Customs (although some would be useful), it only requires a willingness to learn and a keen interest in Global Trade.
The role is based in Sydney or Melbourne and offers flexible working options.

You are someone with:
- A degree in Law or Business or similar (or close to completing your degree)
- A strong interest in Global Trade and advising large multinational importers and exporters on trade matters
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and with a high attention to detail
- The ability to think strategically and build strong relationships
- Experience with Global Trade (Customs, import, export) is not essential, although will be a plus
