Sydney | Corporate & Tax
Dentons is looking for a 2–4 PAE lawyer with M&A and transactional tax experience to join our Sydney office.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a well‑established practice advising on high‑value, complex transactions across Australia and internationally.
What you’ll do
You’ll work across a broad range of transactional and advisory tax matters, including:
- M&A tax – structuring, due diligence and transaction support
- GST and state taxes (stamp duty, land tax, payroll tax)
- Tax aspects of corporate, real estate, infrastructure and major projects
- Cross‑border transactions and investment structures
- Advising financial institutions on GST and transaction‑related issues
- W&I insurance, tax risk allocation and indemnities
- Tax audits, disputes and controversy
- Structuring for joint ventures, trusts and investment vehicles
You’ll work closely with market‑leading partners and collaborate with Dentons’ corporate, banking and real estate teams.
About you
- 2–4 years’ PAE
- Experience in M&A and transactional tax (law firm or top‑tier accounting firm)
- Exposure to GST and/or state taxes highly regarded
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Commercial, collaborative and keen to develop
