We have an exciting opportunity for a Courier Team Leader to join our Operations Team located in Port Melbourne!
WHAT WILL MY JOB LOOK LIKE?
- Coordinating and leading ground operations staff, and couriers including independent contractors to ensure delivery deadlines are met
- Liaising with other lead couriers and supervisors to discuss and determine route requirements and resource allocations
- Providing support to the supervisor (eg. Running PD’s) and problem solving to address any issues encountered during the shift
- Coordinating outside hire requirements and third party handover
- You will be required at times to perform Courier Driver duties covering different routes for those on annual and unexpected leave
- You will be a part of a large dynamic team of couriers in our Melbourne Facility
- This is a full time position starting from 7:00am from Monday to Friday. You would need to have flexibility to work longer hours as required during peak periods
WHAT CAN I BRING TO THE JOB?
- Australian Driver’s License - Essential
- Australian Forklift License - Desirable
- Previous leadership experience - Desirable
- Previous transport industry experience - Desirable
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required
- Sound computer knowledge
- Reliability and a can do attitude
- Problem solving and decision making skills
- Great Communication skills
- A focus on teamwork
