Overall Role Purpose
The Perishables Operations Specialist is responsible for:

• Processing, handling, and distributing all required documents in the operations department.
• Performs pickup arrangement.
• Ensures customer requirements are met and documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Creates/confirms transport order to ensure pickup of the shipment at origin.
• Performs booking and booking optimisation.
• Prepares, controls, and distributes all required Export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.)
• Checks responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents.
• Follows up shipment status in the Export area, identifies incidents, and ensures resolution of incidents.

Skills / Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified or an equivalent qualification (Preferred by not mandatory)
• Minimum two (2) – four (4) years of previous experience/knowledge of Airfreight /Freight Forwarding exposure.
• CargoWise system experience /exposure (advantage).
• Sound administrative skills.
• Results-driven and attention to detail.
• A high degree of reliability and attention to detail
• Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Be results-driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills.
• Possess a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic.
