We currently have a vacancy for an OMS Operations Supervisor to join our MEL Order Management Systems Team based in the Melbourne Head Office in Tullamarine.

As an OMS Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Directly supervising a team of four (4) direct reports
  • Support various large OMS Customers in Australia, SOP compliance, specialising in the day-to-day operations, ensuring the OMS Customer needs are met. Lead new customer implementations with the team.
  • Customer centrism: be able to adapt to different non-standard customer requirements as per specific customer SOPs.
  • Assisting Management and coordinators in identifying and developing supply chain initiatives for customers which yield additional business, and revenue for mutual customer-DHL benefit.
  • Support Projects with adaptations and the management of each individual project.
  • Vendor and PO management, Working with Origin and Destination improvements
  • High communication is a must amongst the team when working closely with origin and Destination operations management.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, work on improvements and coordinate of new projects and initiatives
  • Managing Value-added origin services in Labelling, and DC by-pass operations. Managed via project charters and specification cards.
  • Escalation to improve processes around exception management and resolution throughout customers’ supply chains
  • Escalation of Accounts queries/resolution and reporting.
  • Understanding the customers’ requirements and their processes through SOPs. Work with a customer service representative
  • Ongoing SOP development and refinement.
  • Setting up new customers
  • Supporting new and existing team members

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Minimum five (5) years of previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding / International Supply Chain industry.
  • Demonstrated Infornexus user experience (Preferred)
  • Functional knowledge of Freight forwarding business and carrier/supplier landscape
  • Comprehensive understanding of the origin and destination processes.
  • Proven track record working in teams (leadership, motivation, and people skills)
  • Demonstrated people management experience capabilities.
  • Demonstrates strong communication capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving mentality
  • Demonstrated Sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Be results-driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills with a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
