Remuneration package of up to $211,817 per annum*
*Remuneration is based on salary ($140,385 - $152,037), superannuation and attraction and retention incentive (ARI) payments. ARI payments are subject to periodic review and approval. The ARI payment is set to expire on 5 February 2024. Extension of the ARI payment beyond that term is subject to further government decision.

The position
In this role, you will lead and manage the Electricity Utilisation Inspection Branch and provide the Corporate Executive and Executive/Directors with professional advice on the operations of the Branch. You will also be responsible for the leadership and delivery of inspections, investigations and enforcement work.
Drawing on your extensive experience of electrical inspection work; including the management and planning of compliance functions, you will provide strategic leadership in the provision of a quality customer focused, timely and cost effective compliance programs.
You will possess knowledge of electrical related regulatory legislation, with the ability to recommend changes to legislation and develop new inspection policies and strategies.
This position is located in Cannington (however, you may be required to work at other sites as required). Enjoy onsite lifestyle facilities, including bike lockers, fully equipped change rooms, personal lockers and a cafe.

What are we looking for?
To be considered further, please submit a detailed CV and covering letter (of no more than 3 pages) addressing the following;
- Licensed Electrician or a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations equivalent experience and skills in investigations.
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements for consumer electric installations and related electrical installing work, including knowledge of the Electrical Licensing Board's policies and licensing requirements.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in all aspects of electrical inspection work (or similar) including the management and planning of electricity compliance functions (or similar).
- Demonstrated experience building and sustaining effective relationships and partnerships resulting in proven strategic industry improvement.
