Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer’s strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high-quality services at scale. 

Commencing in August 2026 we have an opportunity for a Security Guards to join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland’s national portfolio, with multiple positions available to support Wetherill Park. 

Roster flexibility is required, including availability to work a variety of rotating shifts including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.  

What You’ll Do  

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: 

  • Monitor premises and conduct regular patrols to ensure safety and security

  • Control site access and manage visitors, contractors, and deliveries

  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner

  • Provide general assistance and maintain a visible, approachable presence

  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance issues

  • Maintain accurate records, follow procedures, and liaise with relevant services when required 

What You’ll Bring  

  • Certificate II (mandatory) or Certificate III in Security (desirable)

  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR (mandatory)

  • Working with Children’s Check (mandatory)

  • Experience monitoring CCTV, alarms, and access control systems

  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and concerns

  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and report-writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with a good understanding of safety procedures
