The opportunity
Some jobs build roads. Some build careers.
This role helps build the infrastructure that thousands of Logan residents rely on every day.
We're looking for an experienced Site Supervisor - Civil to join our Logan Water team, leading the delivery of key water and wastewater projects across a long-term capital works program. You'll be joining a team that's known for getting things done, solving problems and delivering projects that genuinely improve communities.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your day chasing paperwork from a desk.
You'll be coaching supervisors, working alongside project teams, driving site performance and helping shape how projects are delivered. You'll have the opportunity to influence construction methodologies, improve delivery practices and build a high-performing culture across multiple work fronts.
If you thrive on leadership, enjoy mentoring others and like seeing tangible results from your work, this is the opportunity for you.
What you'll do
- Lead and support supervisors, site teams and subcontractors across multiple civil projects
- Drive safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery from start to finish
- Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to keep projects on schedule
- Coach and mentor site leaders to build capability and consistency across the program
- Contribute to construction planning, methodologies and programme development
- Build strong relationships with Logan Water, Logan City Council and project stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and project outcomes
- Champion a strong Zero Harm culture and lead by example onsite
What we offer
- Permanent opportunity within a growth industry that is continuously expanding and evolving.
- Work on major infrastructure projects that directly support local communities.
- Suite of Downer benefits, including health and wellness initiatives.
- Join an organisation that truly values and practices flexible working options and has demonstrated focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Be part of an award-winning partnership delivering one of Southeast Queensland's largest water infrastructure programs.
What we're looking for
- Experience leading civil construction projects within water and/or wastewater environments
- Strong background managing supervisors, subcontractors and delivery teams
- Ability to build high-performing teams and drive accountability
- Proven experience delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Strong understanding of civil construction activities, including bulk earthworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced project environment
- A passion for leadership, mentoring and continuous improvement
