Electrical Engineer Wireless

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth within our Technology and Communications Services business, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Wireless team. This role offers the opportunity to work on the design and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects across Australia.
Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, assessment and delivery of electrical solutions for wireless facilities, supporting major carrier and telecommunications projects. You will work closely with project engineers, design teams, construction teams and clients to ensure designs are safe, compliant, innovative and delivered to schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing electrical and earthing designs for wireless infrastructure projects
  • Undertaking site inspections, scoping visits and feasibility assessments
  • Supporting Safety in Design requirements across all project activities
  • Collaborating with project and construction teams to resolve design and site issues
  • Assisting with electrical assessments, certifications and technical reporting
  • Maintaining compliance with Australian Standards and power authority requirements
  • Supporting project delivery, quality outcomes and financial performance targets

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A recognised degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience or exposure to wireless telecommunications infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards and practices within the telecommunications industry
  • Understanding of AC and DC power systems and site earthing requirements
  • Experience using electrical design software such as PowerCAD, CableCalc Pro or similar tools
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical service and installation requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within deadlines
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement and safety
