The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV) is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:
- Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
- Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
- RAAF Base Wagga
The proposed capital investment of $2 billion will incorporate a variety of elements including:
- Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
- Construction of new training facilities
- Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
- Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

The opportunity
Kick-start your career in Health, Safety and Environment with a hands-on trainee opportunity supporting the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture. Working alongside experienced HSE professionals, you’ll build practical skills in safety administration, reporting, data management and project support while contributing to the safe and successful delivery of this major Defence Infrastructure project.
What you’ll do
Support the HSE team with day-to-day administration, documentation and project coordination.
Assist with maintaining HSE data, records and reporting across the project.
Support safety processes including toolbox talks, inspections and incident reporting.
Assist with project inductions, onboarding and HSE communications.
Work with project teams and subcontractors to support a strong health and safety culture
What you’ll bring

Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and an interest in developing your data and reporting skills.
A collaborative approach and ability to build positive working relationships.

This role is based on site at Blamey Barracks Kapooka, Wagga Wagga, NSW. Applicants must be an Australian citizen and willing to obtain a security clearance.
