The opportunity
You know a good site when you see one.
The crews know the plan. Contractors know what's expected. Safety isn't negotiable. And when something changes, there's someone on the ground who can make the call and keep things moving.
That's where you come in.
We're looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Logan Water team, delivering water and wastewater construction projects across the region.
You'll have real ownership of your sites, coordinating people, plant and materials while working closely with Project Managers and Engineers to turn the plan into reality.
There's variety, plenty happening and a long-term program of work ahead. If you enjoy being trusted to run your site rather than having someone looking over your shoulder, this role will suit you.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership of day-to-day construction activities across your projects
- Lead work crews and manage subcontractors onsite
- Plan and coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials
- Keep works moving against programme while maintaining quality standards
- Stay ahead of site issues and work with Engineers and Project Managers to find practical solutions
- Set the standard for safety, environment and risk management onsite
- Build strong relationships with crews, contractors and project stakeholders
What we offer
- Permanent full-time position with long-term project stability
- Major water and wastewater projects across the Logan region
- The autonomy to take ownership of your sites and make an impact
- Suite of Downer benefits including health and wellness initiatives
- A strong project pipeline with opportunities to continue developing your career
- Meaningful work delivering infrastructure the local community relies on
What we’re looking for
- Extensive supervisory experience within civil construction
- Water sector experience is highly regarded
- Strong experience planning, setting up and delivering construction works
- Proven capability managing subcontractors and site-based crews
- Sound knowledge of construction programming, safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Frontline Management qualification or equivalent
- Someone who can think on their feet, communicate clearly and stay level-headed when the plan changes
