Due to internal movements, we have a need for a passionate and high-performing Receptionist / Administrator based from our Porirua depot in Wellington. In this busy and varied role, you’ll be a key representative of Downer, providing quality customer service, support and coordination for our people and visitors.

About the role
As the director of first impressions, you’ll work as part of our Administration team to ensure administration functions within the office are carried out to excellent standards whilst meeting the needs of our internal and external customers. On top of providing frontline reception services, your day to day tasks will include:
- Excellent customer care to answer queries, act as a client liaison and ensure visitor registration
- Management and maintenance of kitchen and building facilities
- Monitoring and distribution of mail and shipments, including occasional heavy lifting of PPE etc.
- Maintenance of stationery, uniform and PPE supplies
- Processing of POs and accurate reporting
About you
Supporting our booming Porirua branch housing various departments, you will be well versed in multi-tasking in a fast paced environment (with a smile)! Your highly organised, confident and friendly approach alongside your excellent attention to detail would be key to your success in this role. You will have a can-do, solutions focused attitude and a continuous improvement mind-set. We’d also value:
- Excellent relationship building abilities, you will quickly grow to learn who’s-who and what’s what.
- Experience providing high quality administration support in a similar or a client-facing customer service role.
- Experience with financial systems including raising POs, invoicing and claims.
- A high level of proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Someone who communicates and presents themselves professionally.
It would be beneficial (however not essential) for you to have experience in Sharepoint, JD Edwards or similar resource planning software and to hold a Full Class 1 Drivers Licence.
