Downer's Sealing division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work within Dannevirke. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual who is interested in becoming part of the crew as a Quality Assurance Technician in our sealing team.
About the job:
You will be responsible for organising and recording quality operations. Ultimately ensuring project operations achieve superior levels of safety performance and seamless communication and reporting to management. Your day to day tasks will include:
- Preparation of Contract Quality Plans, ITP and completion of quality assurance and quality control documentation
- Carrying out activities in accordance with the Quality Plan, Inspection, Test Plan and Project Plan
- Calculation of material quantities ensuring compliance with customer requirements
- Recording of completed work and data including mix temperatures, mat depth and asphalt data dockets
- Highlighting quality or compliance issues as they arise
About you:
You will bring with you experience in sealing and quality assurance. You will also:
- Hold a Full NZ Class 1, any other licenses are beneficial
- Be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Demonstrate experience in maintaining accurate records and data management
- Be able to conduct basic risk analysis applicable to surfacing/construction operations
- Have excellent communication skills and a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
- Be comfortable working remotely and on call when required
