The Opportunity:
Currently we have an exciting full time (40hrs a week) permanent (Monday to Friday) opportunity in Palmerson North for an Experienced Designer/Estimator to provide design and estimation services, quotations and as built services. You will be involved in work across the power network including overhead lines, underground, transformer and substations. In addition, you will also get out in the field for customer site visits and manage your own small projects.
The role is paying between $83,000-90,000 per annum
About you: You will have the following skills and experience.
- Experienced in estimation and design within the electricity distribution and transmission sector (5yrs + preferable)
- Tertiary qualification (BE Electrical/Electronics or similar trade related qualification)
- High degree of computer literacy (Microsoft applications)
- AutoCAD design experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering design standards and the ability to work within industry standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise with Internal and External Stakeholders.
- Solid time management and organisational skills, able to deliver to deadlines.
- Strong understanding of Risk and Safety Management
- Proven Project Management skills.
