Due to a promotion within our team, Downer Group’s Corporate Services are now seeking an IT Business Engagement Manager (BEM) to be based in our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Offices.
Reporting into our Head of IT and Strategy and Business Engagement, you will be the interface between the business and IT, you will understand business problems, look for opportunities and innovate with IT to drive the business’ strategic agenda. This role is a key partner to the business, engaging directly with key executives and their leadership team, across a range of business units within Downer Australia.
You will be expected to consult on, drive, and ideate IT solutions that enable the Downer business to differentiate. You will be an experienced and impressive strategic leader who can think outside the box and challenge the norm to find innovative solutions to business problems and to set us apart from our competitors to win work opportunities. You will have exceptional stakeholder relationship and management skills, outstanding communication skills and be across emerging technology and innovation trends.
ABOUT YOU:
- 8 to 10 years commercial IT experience, ideally with 5 years in senior IT/business roles
- Proven track record in managing complex Customer relationships with a technology focus
- In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Demonstrates an ability to develop roadmaps and to translate business strategy into program plans and align to the IT strategy and roadmaps
- Demonstrates a strong ability to develop partnerships with key stakeholders, including recognition of business concerns
- The ability to recognise structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
- Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
- Understanding of project and demand management methodologies
- Demonstrates ability to apply benefit realisation and program planning concepts
- Demonstrated senior stakeholder engagement experience.
