In Victoria, we are continuing to deliver the High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) project as part of the Evolution Rail consortium. The project includes the manufacture of 70 trains, two train simulators and maintenance of the trains for over 30 years.
About the role:
Our newly built Pakenham facility currently has an opportunity for a Yard Master to join their team . As Yard Master you will be responsible for the safe movement of all rail vehicles within the boundaries of the facility including:
- Conducting safe and efficient rollingstock movements
- Planning stabling positions
- Maximising the efficiency of site operations
- Control Wash plant and Yard operations
You will need:
- Rail industry experience, ideally in a similar role
- Ability to think clearly under pressure
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Clear logical thought processes
- High level of customer service
- Ability to work 24/7 rotating roster
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
