Our Power & Energy business have opportunities for intermediate level Welding Inspectors to join our 2023 shutdowns in Queensland and New South Wales . You will have an outcome driven approach with the ability to positively influence and motivate your crew while upholding Downer's Zero Harm culture.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- In this role you will oversee welder qualification testing and records
- Supervise a crew of welders, ensuring compliance to PQR/WPS
- Organise and support NDT including visual inspections, reports, NDT requests, ITP build/sign off
- Support operations with consumable recommendations based upon material, its thickness and consumable classification within the allowable limits of approved WPS
ABOUT YOU
- Hold a CSWIP 3.2 Intermediate, Welding Inspector or International Welding Inspector Standard IWIS certificates
- Experience as a Welding Inspector/Supervisor in a maintenance focused role ideally within a shutdown environment
- Hands-on experience supervising teams to ensure that site activities are completed in accordance with safety, quality, environmental and productivity objectives
- Efficient hand written and communications skills to clearly communicate work scope and required outcomes to crew
- Proven leadership ability with a very strong commitment to zero harm
- Hold an industry White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry tickets
