Roster Clerk

Keolis Downer is looking for a problem-solving Roster Clerk to join our Northern Beaches Operations Team! As a Roster Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring all shifts are rostered correctly and that any changes are in accordance with employee entitlements, industrial instruments and industry regulations using dynamic scheduling and rostering software HASTUS.

Role Requirements:

  • Understand operational requirements and prioritise conflicting demands to ensure critical deadlines are met
  • Allocate equitable and balanced shifts to employees to maintain cost efficient and effective rostering
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bus Operator industrial instruments and NHVR (National Heavy Vehicle Regulations), including advanced fatigue management
  • Experience using HASTUS
  • Good working knowledge of the operational procedures, systems, and demands relevant to delivering bus services to meet contract requirements
  • Demonstrated co-ordination, problem solving and organisational skills to meet contract and service requirements
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy and good working knowledge of computer systems to provide administrative support
  • Ability to apply rostering policies and procedures and provide correct roster advice to staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain effective team relationships
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check
