Downer has been selected to take part in a national programme of the design and construction of fibre deeper into selected Fibre to the Node (FTTN ) network areas. The extension of fibre within these FTTN areas will allow premises to place orders for higher speed services via a Fibre to the Premise (FTTP ) connection. With project offices based in Hexham, NSW and Canning Vale, WA , the teams have commenced Design and Construction activities in these states.
Joining our N2P Evolution team as a Project Engineer in our Canning Vale location, you will work in multi-disciplinary project teams to contribute to & coordinate activities related to the design & construct of Telecommunications Network Infrastructure . Your new role will see you responsible for the design, development, implementation, promotion, management & maintenance of all quality, and compliance deliverables. The role will also require co-ordination & management of field related activities during construction phase combined with materials management.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualification in Telecommunication Engineering or Construction
- Demonstrable experience working as a Design, Field or Project Engineer on large scale telecommunications projects
- Experience with Australian Telecommunications Carriers networks.
- Strong understanding of the telecommunications Pit & Pipe Network and working knowledge of fibreoptic networks
- Demonstrated understanding of design, construction & integration of fixed networks
- Demonstrated understanding of managing Bills of Material/Quantities and reconciling during construction
- Experience with fibre testing is advantageous
