Our Sealing division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work. The Labourer/Chip Runner works within crews on a day to day basis, conducting site works and activities in accordance with project plans. Your daily tasks will include:
- General labouring activities assisting your crew
- Acting as a spotter for our Chip spreading truck
- Running chip through the adjusting application, and manually spready chip if required
Health and Safety is paramount within our Sealing crew. With the Chip spreading truck often moving in reverse, and a number of heavy machineries operating at once, we require someone who has a keen sense of awareness of their surroundings – keeping yourself and your crew mates safe.
About you:
Ideally, you’ll have proven experience and exposure to Sealing however this is not a deal breaker! If you have a genuine interest in the civil infrastructure industry and show a willingness to learn – we still want to chat with you. You’ll also have:
- A Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence – mandatory
- A Full Class 2 Driver’s Licence – preferred but not essential
- The ability to work hands-on as a team player
- A high level of physical fitness as you will spend your days outdoors and, on your feet,
- Good timekeeping skills – punctuality and reliability is key!
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to communicate with your crew and the public
- Our teams do work away from home so a willingness and ability to travel is important
Our crew primarily work Monday to Friday, however you will need to be available to work weekend work, as required.
