Our Outside Plant Telco Network Designers deliver high quality outcomes based on the sound application of telecommunications systems and practices. This will be based in Wellington as a permanent position.

Day to day tasks include:

• Planning, designing, building, and configuring telecommunication devices, networks, and systems.
• Identifying and analysing problems and capacity requirements of the existing telecommunications network.
• Preparing and interpreting specifications, drawings, and regulations for the use of telecommunications equipment
• Compiling client project proposals to define goals, identify scope, background, cost of equipment, parts, and services

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

• A Bachelor of Engineering, Engineering Technology or similar is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a similar position or cost estimating would be an advantage.
• An in-depth knowledge of Telecommunication technology and practices, including those of major customers
• Skills & experience in relevant customer software systems, word processing, spread sheeting and other computer software, specifically
• Arc GIS and/or AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office
