We are seeking an Asphalt Manager who will head up our operations in Bathurst, NSW and be influential in building client relationships. The successful candidate will oversee an enthusiastic team delivering road surfacing projects together with managing the operations of our asphalt production plant.
About you:
- Sound understanding in delivering asphalt, surfacing, paving and/or minor civil projects.
- A background in operations management is essential. Qualifications in civil engineering, business management or a related discipline are preferred, however not essential.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to prepare and monitor operational forecasts and budgets.
- A strong understanding of Zero Harm best practice.
- Proactive approach to change management with the capacity to lead and inspire teams.
- A solid understanding of the preparation and negotiation processes relating to tendering and contract negotiation.
- Successful track record of proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and developing new business opportunities.
- Proficient computer skills.
