Downer is a leading provider of end-to-end Technology & Communications service solutions, our wireless line of business offers capability across Project Management, RAN design, SAED, construction and integration services for the critical infrastructure of our customers across the Carrier, Transport, Resources, Government, Defence and Utilities sectors.
Due to ongoing project success we are seeking applications from CAD Draftsperson with preferable experience in fixed wireless and/or mobile carrier programs. This is a full-time permanent role and can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Adelaide .
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team of designers, engineers and project support team members the primary objective is to complete all Mobile Design & DBoR activities for the addition of 5G technologies to new and existing sites. The role will require co-ordination and management of Design & CAD partners activities during SAED and final acceptance phases in order to ensure correct Design outcomes and approval from the Client. You will also ensure external CAD Drafting partners meet specific cost and time expectations.
ABOUT YOU
- Diploma (or higher) specialising in Civil or Structural Drafting
- Local experience with any of the major carriers in Telecommunications design or drafting is preferred
- Experience in developing Client CAD standards and templates
- Expertise in the use of AutoCAD
- Competence in Telco structural drafting and detailing is desirable
- Perseverance with attention to detail, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Eager to learn, demonstrates initiative, and ability to think quickly to find solutions, rather than wait for directions.
