Due to continued growth in winning exciting projects for our Facilities and Asset Services business, we are on the lookout for a commercially astute Senior Contract Administrator to join our high performing & inclusive team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to progress your career with a market leading organisation.
Reporting to Head of Finance and Commercial - Industrial & Marine, you will be required to work independently to provide efficient and effective management of commercial and contractual matters and active day-to-day administration of the head contract and any subcontracts placed on the project. Successful project delivery will be contingent upon your leadership and participation in the following key areas to achieve commercial outcomes:
- Project Planning
- Project Delivery
- Subcontractor Management
- Risk Management
- Project Reporting
- Project Close out
Please note: This role is a FIFO 18/9 roster , and you will be required to travel to RAAF Base Tindal, Northern Territory.
About you
As the Senior Contracts Administrator , we require 5+ years demonstrable and successful experience gained in a senior role within Civil, Infrastructure or Construction. Other essential skills & experience required:
- Tertiary Qualified in Law, Quantity Surveying or Engineering with working knowledge of the Construction Contracts Act procedure
- Familiarity with standard and bespoke industry forms of contract and operative effects
- Understanding of contract terms and conditions, variations approvals and recovery of claims
- Awareness of project management, contract management, risk management and financial management principles utilised in the management of the project
- Excellent commercial management skills including interpreting and applying contract terms and legislation provisions
- Negotiation and influencing to achieve desired outcomes
- Developed analytical and planning/prioritisation skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Australian construction industry
- Sound working knowledge of commercial management principles, project control applications, risk management and application of process.
