RPQ is a group of companies owned by Downer EDI Limited (DOW) which provides a range of quality services in road construction and maintenance. The company has experienced considerable growth over the last five years and now operates dedicated companies in asphalt supply and placement, bitumen spray sealing, road milling and profiling, civil construction, road maintenance, workshop services and equipment hire.
An opportunity has become available for a Spray Seal Supervisor to join our team in Mackay. This role is responsible for the management and delivery of projects, and planned works of varying sizes. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate a crew, whilst managing the plant, suppliers and resources in order to complete works safely, on time and on budget.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience with Spray/Chip Seal preferable
- Effective supervision of personnel, plant, machinery and subcontractors on site
- Exposure in civil road construction, road maintenance and surfacing would be ideal
- Demonstrated success in managing performance in order to meet and exceed agreed targets
- Successful track record with planning, organising and time management
- Good understanding of the relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations and legislative requirements as applied to the roads industry
- Actively participate and support Zero Harm initiatives and strategies
