Our Eastern Creek site is looking for a Senior Business Development & Client Relations Manager to lead the formation of strategic client relationships within Roads NSW and other departments. Reporting to the Sydney Surfacing Manager, this role will provide early strategic thought test and rigor as well as coach/develop internal teams to ensure we only bid work we have a high chance of winning, bids are competent, competitive, and timely and deliver profitable work for Downer.
What you’ll bring
- Commercial, Business or Engineering qualifications
- Experience at a senior level providing technical know-how and accountability for results in similar industry and size business
- Proven ability to develop strategic client relationships and maintain a strong client focus
- Proven track record formulating and driving business growth strategies and growth plans
- Leadership skills that will encourage an environment of sharing knowledge and ideas to ensure continuous improvement within the team
What you’ll be working on
- Managing the tender / estimation processes and practices to expand on our pipeline of work
- Preparation and presentation of a monthly sales dashboard to the senior leadership group
- Collate client and market sector intel on trends and opportunities
- Implementing a key account management program within the major clients group
- Development of short and mid-term opportunity pipelines that are aligned to the major client strategic objectives
