About the role:

The Scheduler’s role is focused on delivering optimized transport plans and schedules to meet contract specifications, the enterprise agreement and customer demand. Reporting to the Head of Planning & Scheduling, the Scheduler undertakes core operationally focused scheduling and bus charter work, such as the construction of base period rosters and schedules, day-specific schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, coordinate and administer bus charter services for depots to support the maintenance of a reliable and cost-efficient bus service. The Scheduler will be also in charge of adapting the schedules to accommodate charter work.

Role Requirements:

  • Previous HASTUS experience
  • Undertake core operationally focused scheduling work, including construction of base period rosters and schedules (including day-specific, school vacation, and public holiday schedules)
  • Develop a cycle and forward timetable for scheduling reviews, implementation of Integrated Network Plans and other major scheduling-related activities and projects, to reach an agreed understanding on major work priorities and deployment of resources.
  • Providing status reports, briefings and advice to the Head of Scheduling and other parties on the progress of major schedules/network reviews and other work-project components, identifying progress, opportunities, issues, and solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, handle stress, conflict, and pressure in a positive way.
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check.
