Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

As a Network Inspector with us, you’ll be the eyes and ears of the network for New Plymouth.

This means you’ll be responsible for identifying faults and logging defects of network assets. You’ll also assist in preparing the maintenance programmes and provide support to our Maintenance team. On a day-to-day basis you will be:

• Inspecting the road, recording faults, defects and propose suitable solutions
• Ensure all operations meet Health & Safety requirements
• Identify risks and make corrective actions where required
• Assist in the development of maintenance programmes with Senior Network Inspector
• Provide support to field staff on field programming tools such as Pocket RAMM '

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

Along with your positive attitude and your motivation to make a difference in the community there are a few essentials skills that we’ll appreciate you bringing in to this role:

• A full Class 1 New Zealand drivers licence with the ability to operate a manual vehicle in a comfortable manner across the state highway
• Ideally you will have experience in road maintenance, construction or a similar field
• Clear communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Experienced and able to learn computer systems
• Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety
