General Worker
The Downer Transport team needs two physically fit and motivated individuals to join our Maintenance crew and lend a helping hand as a General Worker. This is an entry-level opportunity for people interested in civil infrastructure and roading.
You will be involved in the general operation of machinery as well as day-to-day manual labouring duties. This could include:
- Helping with site safe set up for your crew and the general public
- Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
- Working as part of a cohesive team to deliver to client requirements
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- Class 1 restricted or full license required (class two would be a bonus!)
- Be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
- Flexibility is desirable given you may be required to work shift work
- Civil construction experience desirable
- Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
