Downer are proudly supporting a range of exciting Transport projects across Wellington. The Wellington Construction division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across the country. We are looking for an experienced or up-and-coming Foreperson to join our team.
Foreperson
You will be a specialist tradesperson who can lead and motivate your crew to carry out TRADE construction and repairs within the BUSINESS UNIT space on a day-to-day basis. Duties within your team include:
- Planning tasks with the supervisor, and following up to ensure they are completed efficiently and to the required specification and standard
- Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies, and equipment
- Providing and organizing on-the-job development/training for the team and supporting general career development
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- A proven track record of supervising teams and subcontractors in a range of maintenance/construction activities
- Class 2 Full New Zealand driver’s licence is a must-have!
- Demonstrated leadership behaviours that empower others
- A focus and passion for keeping people and the environment safe
