Mechanical Fitter - Santos upstream
Downer have an exciting opportunity for Qualified Mechanical fitters to join our long term project throughout the Roma/Surat Basin. This role is a full time role on an 18/10 roster from Brisbane. You will be required to work throughout the Gas fields with the work scope consisting on installation and maintenance on Wellhead surface infrastructure and compression facilities. In addition we receive every changing scopes from the client, so someone who is a reactive thinker would be suited to this role.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Full-time ongoing role on 18 days on, 10 days off roster
- Flights provided from Brisbane, QLD and camp accommodation on site
- Ongoing training and support provided

- Full 2 weekends at home on your RNR (fly in Monday Fly out fridays)
- 10 hour days
- Base rate + Penalties + Allowances
- Rate increase after 6 months (or at discretion of supervisor if earlier )
- Yearly Rate increase as per EA
ABOUT YOU
- Trade qualified Fitter with Flange management experience
- Hold an HR Drivers Licence, High Risk Licence with WP, LF, Working at Heights (within 2years) and Construction Induction/White Card
- Strong heavy industrial background, with previous Oil & Gas upstream knowledge
- Ability to read isometrics & P&ID’s, along with basic computer skills
- Commitment to safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
- Good communication skills, strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as a part of a team
