Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is proud to embark on the QTMP project and we are now seeking a People and Culture Advisor to play an integral role in the day to day running of this great project.
Reporting directly to the People and Culture Manager, you will be a key part of the project team to support and provide guidance on all HR matters, as well as supporting the HR processes and administrative functions.
This role would be ideal for someone who is in the early years of their career in Human Resources, and is looking for a position that will add immense value to their CV. Other duties include:
- Interpreting HR policies, laws and standards to educate stakeholders.
- Assisting in confidential workplace investigations
- Facilitating workplace training on HR initiatives
- Facilitating systems audits and reviewing HR data
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of organisational charts
This is a fixed term 2 year position, and will be based in Milton until early 2024, when we move into a new office in the Brisbane CBD! Some intrastate/interstate travel may be required from time to time.

About You:
- 2 - 3+ years relevant experience in Human Resources
- A degree qualification in Human Resources or equivalent industry is preferred.
- An understanding of employment legislation, industrial awards and agreements
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and high attention to detail
- Experience working in both Blue and White collar environments highly desired
