We have an opportunity for a Test Analyst holding current TSPV clearance (+ PA ideal). As Tester, you will ensure project deliverables are aligned to requirements, and ensuring testing is appropriately rigorous over the life of the project. You'll provide customer-focused quality assurance outcomes, support the delivery team and proactively contribute to successful project outcomes.

The successful candidate will implement the project’s test management plan in accordance with network and change-management standards established by the stakeholders. Testers will make use of available test automation tools where available, and an ability to develop a test harness is desirable.

 To succeed in this endeavour, you will:

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), prepare test cases and baseline test metrics, in alignment with the department's standards;

  • Identify, plan for and configure the software and hardware tools required to facilitate efficient and effective testing based on the test plan;

  • Conduct performance, functional and system integration testing in alignment with established standards and practices in order to validate and verify system performance, functional and system requirements;

  • Review and analyse results to determine the source of faults and work with engineers and developers to identify and retest issues;

  • Applying appropriate technical measures and metrics against all aspects of Test & Evaluation (T&E) and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities;

  • Contribute to identifying and resolving project risks and issues, and capitalising on opportunities for project delivery

Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:

  • You must have and maintain a Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance;

  • Demonstrated expertise in software development testing (Agile methods) and/or commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) integration testing;

  • Demonstrated experience with implementing test automation, including bespoke development of test harnesses
