Operations Manager - Spray Seal

RPQ is a professional company that specialise in the safe delivery of quality services including: asphalt production and laying, road maintenance and construction, road milling and bitumen spray sealing services to State and Local Government authorities and private customers across Queensland and New South Wales.

We are seeking an Operations Manager to head up our Spray Seal operations in QLD and be influential in building client relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your leadership skills to coach and mentor teams to drive success.

Ideally, you will have more than 10 years of leadership exposure across, Sprayseal, Asphalt or Surfacing operations .

About you:

• A background in operations management is essential . Qualifications in civil engineering, business management or a related discipline are preferred, however not essential.
• An understanding of the tender preparation and negotiation processes.
• Manage, supervise and schedule the activities of Project Engineers, Supervisors, labour workforce/ subcontractors and on-site purchasing and administration staff to ensure coordination and compliance of the construction process.
• Understanding the importance of Zero Harm work practices.
• Possess strong skills in planning; organisational and time management.
• Advanced computer skills, in particular, MS Project and Excel.
