We currently have an opportunity for a Zero Harm Business Partner to join our team. Working closely with the Zero Harm Manager, you will provide expert Health & Safety technical advice, management system guidance and practical support to leaders and staff across the Social Infrastructure division.
Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, the Zero Harm Business Partner will contribute to the growth and success of the defined portfolio they support by working in partnership with and coaching / influencing the behaviour of others as required.
What you’ll do
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all Zero Harm related matters, providing guidance and support to leaders and employees.
- Facilitate the development of a Zero Harm leadership culture within Social Infrastructure that is focused on manger-led delivery of positive Zero Harm outcomes.
- Implementation of The Downer Standard (TDS) and processes.
- Support delivery and implementation of the Zero Harm Strategy and ensure performance objectives/outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
- Work closely with Line of Business leaders, contract managers and employees to ensure understanding and adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate professional and timely investigation of incidents within business areas or lead complex investigations utilising ICAM or equivalent methodology.
What you’ll bring
- Practical experience within a Workplace Health & Safety or OHS related role.
- A formal work health and safety qualifications.
- Exposure to the healthcare (Hospitals) industry sector will be highly regarded.
- Strong skills/experience in conduct of risk assessments and verification of site safety management plans.
- Ability to write professional reports and present key findings to line/middle and senior management.
- Recent conduct of health and safety management system and/or environmental management system audits.
