Zero Harm Advisor | IPG Casual Pool
The opportunity
Our Energy & Utilities team are looking to expand their casual pool of Zero Harm Advisors to support our Industrial Power Generation outages. We are seeking individuals based on the East Coast who can provide support for an 8–10-week period when required.
This opportunity is likely to commence in August 2025 with locations varying between QLD and NSW. Smaller outage opportunities may be available earlier.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring, coaching and guiding our operational leaders, engineers, supervisors and the blue-collar workforce to successfully promote and foster a proactive culture of Zero Harm during the outage.
- Ensure application of Downer Zero Harm standards and legislative requirements to all work activities.
- Conduct observations, site inspections and audits.
- Investigate incidents, injuries or breaches of safety and environment procedures.
- Manage incident reporting within Downer and client systems.

What we’re looking for
You will be a driven, motivated and adaptable individual allowing you to be highly successful in this role. We are seeking applicants willing to work casually for short periods of time and remain in our casual pool for future outages.
- Prior experience in a safety advisor role within a project-based environment or equivalent experience (Energy, Utilities or Civil industry experience preferred).
- Prior utilisation of Health Safety & Environment Management systems.
- Certificate IV in OHS/WHS.
- ICAM lead investigator Auditing (advantageous but not essential).
- Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
