THE ROLE
Join our Gas Networks & Services Team as a Project Engineer at our Gepps Cross, SA office. As a vital member of our Capital Works Team, you will report to the Project Manager and play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and delivery of impactful gas projects and tenders. Your dedication will ensure that we achieve our goals with a focus on Zero Harm while meeting our commitments regarding cost, time, and quality, all in alignment with our business objectives.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage projects & tenders from conception to completion, including developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain a productive workforce in compliance with Downer Zero Harm guidelines.
- Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and progress updates to senior management.

ABOUT YOU
- Ideally, you should have a tertiary engineering qualification or similar, a current driver’s license and a proven track record as a project engineer, preferably with experience in gas or civil projects.
- Knowledge of gas distribution networks and pressure regulation facilities is preferred.
