Join Our Team for Hospitality with a Difference

We are on the lookout for a dynamic store person to take charge of managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of food, beverage, and general supplies for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Retail. This role isn't just about logistics; it's about ensuring quality and maintaining a seamless supply chain. We need someone dependable, motivated, and who thrives both independently and within a small team. As part of your responsibilities, you'll also be coordinating and distributing on-site food to 9 Retail outlets.
This is a casual position, morning hours, approx. 18hrs per week Monday to Friday, but if you have customer service/retail experience then you could also pickup shifts in our Kitchen café. It’s a dynamic position for someone who is flexible and self-motivated.
What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Unloading deliveries from delivery vehicles
- Ensuring the accurate delivery and transport of the stock to the required Outlets
- Checking goods off Invoices/delivery dockets
- Completing temperature checks on goods delivered
- General cleaning duties and assisting instore serving customers
- Demonstrate the ability to think on your feet and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Multi-task effectively and prioritize responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Embrace team values, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
What You’ll Bring
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Possess robust physical dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Efficiently handle the safe unloading, manual handling, and proper storage of goods.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, organizational, and time management skills.
- Be proficient in using inventory software, databases, and other systems.
- Skilfully manage food, beverage, and sundry stock rotation to ensure freshness.
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and safety in the stores, cool rooms, and loading dock areas.
- Have a solid understanding of Food Safety practices to uphold hygiene standards.
- While not essential, possessing a forklift license would be advantageous.
