As a Product Development Officer, you will undertake laboratory testing, research, and product development activities to support our R&D projects. Working within a NATA-accredited laboratory environment, you’ll contribute to the design and formulation of bituminous products, ensure compliance with quality standards, and assist in delivering innovative solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling, testing, calibrations, and reporting in line with laboratory quality systems.
- Support product development projects, including binder and emulsion formulation/design to meet the requirements of the business.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare technical reports, and assist with equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Promote Zero Harm by applying safety, quality, and environmental processes in all tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and, when required, liaise with clients to deliver commissioned work and technical advice.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge to enhance business performance.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in science, chemical engineering, or materials.
- Laboratory experience in materials testing, preferably in a NATA-accredited environment.
- Knowledge of bituminous binders, emulsions, surfactants or adhesives preferred.
- Ability to research and implement technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing ability.
- High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
