About the Role
As our Senior Revenue Reporting Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in reporting, monitoring and evaluating passenger and ancillary income across all GTR brands. Leading a team of expert analysts, you'll provide high‑quality management information and clear, actionable insights that enable the business to maximise revenue opportunities and support long‑term strategic planning.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering accurate, timely revenue reporting tailored to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Developing and maintaining detailed revenue and passenger volume forecasts, ensuring they reflect current trends and external influences.

Identifying opportunities to grow income and supporting the development of business cases, action plans and monitoring frameworks.

Acting as a centre of excellence for revenue and commercial analysis across the business.

Working closely with senior leaders and teams across GTR, including Customer, Finance, Operations and Strategic Planning.

Engaging with key industry partners such as the Department for Transport (DfT), Rail Delivery Group (RDG) and Great British Railways (GBR).
What You'll Bring
Knowledge & Expertise

Strong understanding of revenue analytics and forecasting within rail or public transport. (we are open to applications from candidates with experience in other transport-related industries)

Detailed knowledge of industry datasets and models (e.g., Lennon, ORCATS, Moira, RARS2).

Experience analysing the impact of external and internal factors on demand and revenue.

Understanding of customer behaviour, segmentation and travel patterns.

Awareness of ancillary revenue streams such as car parking, retail and advertising.

Knowledge of business case development and public sector guidance.

Understanding of rail income allocation and associated claims/dispute processes.

Proven experience in revenue analysis, insights and reporting, ideally within rail or public transport.

Demonstrated success in developing accurate forecasting models for annual and quarterly planning.

Experience producing reporting packs and insights for a wide range of stakeholders.

Experience managing a team and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
Your Impact
You'll be responsible for managing a passenger income budget of over £1.8bn, leading a team of three direct reports and working as part of our wider Revenue Insights team.
Your work will directly influence strategic decisions, operational planning and commercial outcomes across the business.
