The opportunity

We are seeking a Regional Manager Support Services Hub to provide functional leadership and regional oversight of Site Coordinators across our Energy & Utilities business.

Reporting to the Head of Support Services Hub, this role leads a geographically dispersed team of 3–5 direct reports (15+ indirect) within a complex, matrix operating environment.

As a key interface between operational sites and the Support Services Hub, you will play a critical role in embedding a centralised service model ensuring clear separation between site-based coordination and hub-delivered administrative services. You will work closely with operational leaders, project teams, and central functions to drive consistency, governance and scalable workflows across the region.

This is a highly influential role where success is driven through leadership, alignment, and the ability to bring stakeholders on the journey.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and support Site Coordinators across the region, driving consistency, capability, and role clarity
  • Drive adoption of the Support Services Hub operating model across all sites
  • Function as the key interface between operational teams and centralised support services
  • Identify and manage operational risks, service issues, and escalation pathways
  • Influence stakeholders to embed standardised, scalable ways of working

What we offer

  • A high-impact role with strong exposure to senior operational leaders
  • Career progression and internal mobility opportunities across a Tier 1 organisation
  • Access to Perks@Downer (financial, travel & wellbeing discounts)
  • Leadership development programs including THRIVE and EmpowHER
  • A collaborative, people-focused culture with a strong commitment to Zero Harm
  • The opportunity to play a key role in embedding a national operating model

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Operations, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience leading geographically dispersed teams within a matrix environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability at senior levels
  • Experience operating in complex, high-volume environments with scalable service models
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and operational service delivery
