The opportunity
We are seeking a Timesheet Manager to lead the design, governance and performance of time capture and payroll support services across our Energy & Utilities business.
Reporting to the Head of Support Services Hub, this role leads a national team of 10+ and plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and audit-ready workforce time capture across a large, operationally diverse environment.
As the functional authority for timesheets and payroll support, you will work closely with Payroll Operations, Finance, People & Culture and operational leaders to minimise payroll risk, improve accuracy at source and embed consistent, scalable practices across all regions and contracts.
This is a key leadership role where you will influence how payroll inputs are captured, validated, and delivered ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, every time.
What you will do
- Lead national timesheet and payroll support services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time payroll inputs
- Design and embed standardised time capture processes and governance frameworks across all regions
- Partner with Payroll Operations and site teams to improve data quality and reduce payroll risk
- Manage payroll-related risks, escalations, and complex time capture issues
- Lead, develop and uplift a high-performing national team

What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Operations, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Experience in payroll administration, time capture, or payroll support within a complex organisation
- Proven leadership or team coordination experience in payroll or workforce administration
- Strong understanding of payroll inputs, compliance, and workforce management systems (e.g. Kronos, WebTimes)
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence operational teams
