DSI Underground also provides galvanising and other related services to the mining, civil, marine, commercial, and industrial industries.
About the Role
Based in Kewdale, WA and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the administration and execution of all maintenance activities for the Kewdale manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for the safe, efficient, cost effective delivery of maintenance schedules for the Galvanising and Reinforcing divisions
The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates all workshop and maintenance activities ensuring that all maintenance personnel are assigned specific tasks and responsibilities;
Works closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance plans are updated and executed using MEX;
Manage equipment breakdown repairs to minimise downtime including after hour callouts to ensure timely response to resolving any maintenance issues.
Ensure that all planned work is fully executed on time and within cost guidelines.
Monitor maintenance KPIs and responds to deviations from targets accordingly.
Provides a monthly report to Site Operations Manager detailing maintenance activities, achievements and KPIs
Coordinates weekly meetings with production to schedule equipment maintenance requirements;
Delivers machine availability in accordance with company expectations for OEE;
Ensures spare parts are sourced and maintained;
Actively promotes continuous improvement through machine availability improvements and the elimination of waste;
Provides leadership and mentoring to trades team to support a proactive culture;
Models a focus on continuous improvement by actively raising and promoting opportunities for the factory;
Develops team training plan to ensure workforce is adequately skilled to meet business needs;
Undertakes employee performance management under direction from Site Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager and in line with DSI Underground policies and procedures;
Administration of pays and leave for trade reports;
Completes quality checks and ensures that quality inspections/gauging are being completed as required;
Monitors training records to ensure maintenance team adherence;
Ensures that maintenance personnel are working in compliance with workplace safety and environmental requirements;
Completes risk assessments for non-routine tasks as required to ensure safe operations;
Ensures that the work health and safety requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures;
Leads the investigation process for workplace incidents and injuries with maintenance personnel.

Essential:
Relevant trade or manufacturing qualifications;
Material selection knowledge for tooling;
Supervisory Experience;
Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Navision, Word, Inventor);
Leadership: Ability to engage, support, motivate, consult and direct;
Communication: Clear oral and written communicator;
Organisation: Able to organise and plan own and other's activities.
Desirable:
Cert IV Frontline Management;
Relevant experience within manufacturing industry
