About the Position
We are seeking and Technical Service Representative to join our Metal – East Sales Team. This position can be based in either Orange, NSW; Sydney, NSW or Narangba, QLD. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, this role is responsible for sales and technical service for all allocated customers and potential customers in the New South Wales Metalliferous Mining region.
The Technical Service Representative will:
Maintain optimum liaison with nominated customers within the Metals East territory;
Advise customers on correct product use through customer audits and regular QAQC checks;
Assist with new product trials and recognise and encourage new product development opportunities
Retain and Maintain customer service relationships;
As required complete stock assessments and input into order levels to ensure customers have adequate stock levels;
Provide detailed internal communications to ensure accurate customer forecasting;
Ensure that company products are performing to the satisfaction of customers;
Complete customer satisfaction surveys regularly;
Undertake pricing for customers in the region, in conjunction with the relevant Account Managers;
Provide technical representation of DSI Underground products to customers;
Report forward customer demand fluctuations on a monthly basis; and
Operate as part of a strong cohesive team able to maintain strong inter personal relationships.
About you
You will bring previous experience in a Technical Service filed or Mining Industry with your professional and approachable personality, with a drive for customer satisfaction to thrive in this role. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:
Previous experience in underground mining or tunnelling experience;
Ability to engage, build and maintain customer relationships;
Basic understanding in Microsoft Office programs;
Ability to work independently with an interest in problem solving technical issues;
Have the ability to repeatedly lift heavy equipment up to 10kg;
Excellent time management and communication skills; and
Willingness and flexibility to undertake regular domestic travel throughout the Metals East business region.
