EDL owns and operates a global portfolio of power stations in Australia and North America. Our vision is to be the leading global producer of sustainable distributed energy. At EDL, we are playing a key role in the world's transition from traditional energy sources to decarbonised solutions.

The purpose of the position is to operate or maintain LFG power station plant and equipment in a reliable and cost efficient manner in order to maximise operating availability. Ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance are adhered to. This role is a Monday to Friday roster (40 hour week). The successful candidate should also be prepared to provide after hours and weekend support if required.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to

    • Perform regular inspection and maintenance of gas extraction equipment and associated parts.
    • Carryout tuning and balancing of landfill gas extraction system to optimise gas extraction.
    • Utilise gas management program to analyse data.
    • Undertake reporting, fault-finding and repairs.
    • Improve the gas field monitoring system to ensure optimum output.
    • Carry out routine housekeeping duties.
    • Actively ensure own health and safety and the safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations.
    • In addition to the duties set out above, the Technician may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company.
    • Utilise the Maintenance Management and Quality Assurance Systems as part of the daily functions;
    • Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company's employment policies.

Qualifications and experience

  • Mechanical/Plumbing trade or certificate qualifications preferred
  • First aid certificate desirable.
  • Current driver's license is essential.
  • Basic computer skills essential.
  • Experience in the following will also be an advantage:

  • Landfill gas operations.
  • Gasfield construction, monitoring, tuning and fault finding
  • Civil contract works
  • Drainage contract works
  • Electrofusion welding
