The Central SCADA - Standards & Training Lead is responsible for owning and maintaining Central SCADA standards, procedures, and specifications to ensure consistency and compliance across all sites. Develop and update documentation for features, workflows, and operational practices. Prepare training materials and deliver training sessions to operations, engineering, and support teams as Central SCADA is rolled out across EDL sites. This role ensures knowledge transfer, standardisation, and smooth adoption of SCADA systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Maintain and update Central SCADA standards, guidelines, and specifications.
- Create and manage documentation for SCADA features, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Develop training materials (presentations, manuals, e-learning modules) tailored for different user groups.
- Deliver training sessions to site personnel, GCC operators, and engineering teams during SCADA rollout.
- Act as the point of contact for SCADA standards queries and documentation requests.
- Ensure documentation is version-controlled and accessible to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with SCADA engineers, OT, and Operations to capture best practices and incorporate feedback into standards.
- Support continuous improvement by reviewing lessons learned from site migrations and updating standards accordingly.
- Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations
- Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company's employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors.

Person Specification
- Strong communication and presentation skills for delivering training to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborative mindset to work with engineering, operations, and OT teams.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with strong document management skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Maintain high personal work standards, showing initiative, ownership, and motivation to achieve team and organisational objectives.
- Work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams and show willingness to travel to sites and work flexibly when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years experience in SCADA, control systems, or industrial automation environments.
- Experience creating technical documentation and training materials.
- Familiarity with SCADA standards and best practices (Ignition experience desirable).
- Exposure to operational processes in energy, power generation, or similar industries.
- Formal engineering qualifications desirable but not mandatory; experienced SCADA technicians or operators encouraged to apply.
