Salary: $47.00 - $49.00 p.h.

Our Utility person - Mechanical works within a close-knit team to deliver on major works across all Australian sites on Caterpillar Gas and Diesel engines.
The key areas of responsibility for this role include:
- Working on Caterpillar gas engines.
- Reconditioning of Cylinder heads and small components.
- Assessing parts for reuse and reconditioning engines and other equipment.
- Supervising apprentices in training and teaching correct work practices.
- Testing engines on completion of overhaul;
- Painting and prepare engines for dispatch to site;
- Involved in removal and installation of engines onsite
- General housekeeping responsibilities;
- Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations;
- Support and comply with Company Policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company's employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors; and
- Any other duties appropriate to the level and responsibility of the position as required.
- Maintain the safety culture to a high standard.
- Mentoring / training apprentices.
- Travel to sites around Australia to undergo breakdown activities.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with good communication skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative. You will also need to have:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Abilty to travel to all site across Austrlaia
- Current Driver's License
- Experience in diesel/ gas engines is highly desirable
- Experience in Caterpillar, Deutz, Jenbacher or any large capacity engines is highly desirable
- Basic computer skills
