Energy Safe Victoria

Energy Safe Victoria

Energy Safe Victoria is the state’s safety regulator focused on energy safety in the Victorian community with electricity, gas and pipelines.

We bring together diverse talent and can provide you with the opportunity to excel in a dynamic organisation, add value to the meaningful work we do and make a positive contribution to our community.

Across the business, we are committed to diversity of thought, experience, and perspective from our workforce regardless of gender, cultural background, sexual orientation or disability. We know by harnessing diversity, we will be better positioned to represent the Victorian community and deliver meaningful community outcomes.

Through our Diversity and Inclusion strategy we encourage, recognise and celebrate all the differences between people in their social and professional lives.

Supporting our people

We pride ourselves on providing flexible working options to assist you with balancing your work commitments with your family, wellbeing, studies and lifestyle.

We also recognise that our success depends on our talented people, driving a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive work culture, so our workplace policies address the lives you have outside work, as well as the lives you have while you work here. Our workplace policies cover working from home, purchased leave, study leave, and flexible working arrangements. So, if you need extra leave for an overseas holiday, or need to study for an upcoming exam, or perhaps you need to adjust your hours to make the school pick-ups, we have a policy framework to accommodate this.

Supporting the Community

When energy is not used safely the results can be devastating for all affected, particularly when young children are involved. To show our support for the most vulnerable in our community we fund the Clown Doctors attendance at a weekly burns clinic at the Royal Children’s Hospital, delivering doses of fun and laughter to children, and their families, who have suffered as a result of an accident with gas or electricity.

AFL is almost a state-wide religion, so we leverage our partnership with AFL Victoria to communicate important community messages and educate the community about using gas and electrical safely.
