Our Exciting Opportunity:

We are currently looking for an Engineer or Hands-on Solution Architect with Openstack and/or Kurbenetes experience to join the Ericsson Cloud Infrastructure Delivery Team. This is a hands-on delivery role where you will be responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of cloud technologies including Cloud Data Center Infrastructure (BSP 8100 and Ericsson SDI), Openstack Virtualisation (Ericsson CEE), Containers (Ericsson CCD), Nexenta and VxFlex Storage Solutions, MANO Orchestration (Ericsson Cloud Manager) and ODL (OpenDaylight) based SDN (Ericson SDN).

The Ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer or architect with practical experience in IP networking and/or implementation or support of virtualisation technologies.

In this role, you would:

  • Prepare solution, high level and Low level designs.

  • Update and review methods of procedure for pre-implementation planning.
  • Undertake product deployment and configuration of cloud infrastructure.
  • Prepare and implement system test, module test and acceptance test.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and drive improvements in delivery processes.
  • Work with team to resolve any technical product delivery issues.
  • Maintain and update solution documentation.

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Bachelor level qualification in engineering or computer science.

  • Mandatory experience in the delivery and implementation of cloud infrastructure or software virtualization or IP Networking.
  • Experience with Ericsson or Redhat or VMware virtualisation products will be looked at favourably.
  • Strong Openstack and/or Kubernetes is essential
  • Experience working in datacentres would be advantageous
  • Strong Linux/Unix skills
  • Strong communication skill
  • Work Location either Sydney, Australia OR Melbourne, Australia
  • Work Rights: AU/NZ Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
  • Will need to travel: up to 10%
